Organic Salad Shirazi with Avocado is the national salad found on the table of many Iranians. It is eaten alongside meat based foods, on its own before or after meals, as a condiment to balance flavors with other dishes, and honestly can be found on the table with almost any meal virtually all year round. My Mom included avocados in this salad as avocados became one of her favorite discoveries when she came to the states and was a vegan. Naturally, it became one of my favorite foods and still is to this day. I always say that a day without an avocado isn’t really living fully! In my head I describe Salad Shirazi as a raw salad soup, because it is flooded in olive oil and lemon juice, so delicious!
