My experience with organic ghee – clarified butter, began when I went to India to study yoga many moons ago and decided to do a Panchakarma (Ayurvedic cleansing program). Boy was I in for it! I drank ghee in greater quantities each day, poured ghee through my nose, and with all this I felt as if ghee was coming out of my skin. Let me tell you it was an experience at the tender age of 23 to have ghee coming out of more pores! As a result, that Panchakarma impacted my life with the introduction of regular cleansing.
Organic Ghee – clarified butter, is a wonderful dairy free fat to include in your food pantry which is made by separating the fat from the milk solids. The cow is sacred in India and represents sustenance which means her milk, her butter, and the clarified butter known as ghee, are like mother’s milk in Ayurveda, absolutely essential for health and well-being. In Ayurveda no other substance stimulates the flow of bodily fluids and removes blockages as ghee does. Cold-pressed olive oil is specific for stimulating the flow of bile from the liver and gall bladder and thereby relieving congestion there, however, ghee does this throughout the body.
Ghee strengthens our vital energy cushion, known as ojas in Ayurveda, which is at the root of our well-being and immunity. Vital physical health enhances the fire of our mind which promotes clarity and inspiration. Benefit from the multitude of medicinal uses for ghee at home in your food.
