First you need some fresh or frozen organic cranberries. Cranberries are loaded with antioxidants which reduce inflammation and help boost fertility. They are full of Vitamin C, Manganese, Vitamin E, K1, and Copper, through a food form making them bio-available for your body to take what it needs and get rid of the rest. Cranberries are also very low in sugar. 1 cup of cranberries only has 4 grams of sugar. I use maple syrup for this recipe which adds sugar to it so be mindful how much of it you eat. If you have blood sugar issues you may want to avoid it all together. However, pure maple syrup boasts an amazing mineral profile. So it’s really a win-win when we’re talking about the quality of sugar.
Cranberries are also a wonderful snack. If you have left over cranberries after the holiday season is said and done you can dehydrate them as a very low sugar snack. It’s difficult to find unsweetened cranberries in the store so making your own is super easy, inexpensive, and a great snack to add to your fertility food repetoire.
