Who likes easy! I do! This Organic Halloween Chocolate Chip Spider Cookies recipe is gluten free and dairy free without using all those toxic gluten free flours! Truth be told this recipe is the exact same recipe I have for my Organic Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies using Almond Pulp just shaped into spiders!
I’m writing this post both to share this cookie recipe with you and to inspire you to redesign some of your own recipes and just re-purpose them for Halloween or any other holiday so you don’t have to recreate everything for every gathering.
I chose to shape these cookies as spiders because they look perfectly creepy plus when you go to eat them you end up clipping off a leg to eat, making them a little more eerie which is absolutely Halloween inspiring.
Raw whole organic oat groats make the girth of this cookie dough and most of all provide a clean gluten free base for these cookies. Due to all the unnecessary starches and tossing in of a million different ingredients that are not properly prepared in gluten free baking goods, they are generally super unhealthy. In addition, due to awful farming practices, the toxic chemicals and heavy metals found in grains is consequently high. Therefore, proper preparation methods through soaking grains and nuts is essential to remove most of these toxic elements.
I will say these spider cookies are time consuming to shape so I would recommend preparing these about 4-7 days before the party so you can just have them ready to go and not rush their creation. Part of this preparation includes soaking your oat groats so that the cookies are highly digestible as well as making sure you have enough almond pulp ready.
So get to it and make your own spider cookies for Halloween and get rid of all the toxic elements that Halloween can bring. Cheers!
